What is advertised is not what you are given. We booked an all inclusive deal through secret escapes for a junior suite and unlimited spa. The picture in that site and google looked good so I figured let’s book this place. We arrived horrified to the condition of the hotel lobby. But hey, the lobby isn’t everything, plus the rooms looked great online. Nope. No no no. Our junior suite was bare and stank. It was lower quality than a Motel 6 I kid you not. On top of this the air conditioner did not work. In Italy. In august. In 40C/100F weather. That is a full on no go. Additionally we paid, for a hefty sum, for a package that included unlimited use of the spa. Well that unlimited use was just for the pool. For the sauna or anything else there were fees. I’ve never been to a hotel that did that with their spa. We decided quickly that we could not stay there, our 500 euro payment be damned, and quickly found an acceptable hotel down the way, cut our losses and left. Oh and when we checked in they took our passports. What the hell was that about?
Last summer I visited this spa pool twice and I have to say that my experiences were absolutely horrible. It seems that both times I was treated like I was stupid, and I am completely done with it.
First, they promised certain things, such as specific services and amenities, which they then failed to deliver on. This is disappointing in itself, but what really made this situation unbearable was that they started threatening the police. Yes, you read correctly, with the police! I was stunned and confused by their behavior and it wasn't long before I went home crying because of the whole frenzy.
Naturally, after this traumatic experience, I contacted the manager to voice my complaints. What did I get? Only excuses. It seems they think excuses are enough to make up for such outrageous treatment. Well, they certainly aren't.
What surprised me even more was that my parents, who stood up for my rights, ended up being blacklisted. This is absolutely unacceptable and a violation of my rights as a client.
But it gets worse. Besides my own disappointing experience, I had also taken three Dutch friends to this spa pool, and they too were shocked by what happened. It's not just my personal story, but a whole group of people who felt cheated by this place. It is sad that a place meant to offer relaxation and pampering has instead caused so much stress and frustration for all of us. Clearly, improvements are desperately needed at this spa pool, and I hope future clients will have a better experience than we did. In any case, I will never return here again.
Rooms are ok, design is a bit outdated but everything is clean. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, bagels and croissants where very dry and milk was water down or not real milk. Staff where pleasant.
I love the place!
The staffs of the hotel are all accomodating.
I'm sorry to say that, there are some guests who discrimated us because of our nationality.
Polite and friendly staff.
Food quality quite good with a nice choice on the menu, even if the quality is a little for people of a certain age.
Clean and well-kept swimming pool and spa area.
The staff should enforce the regulation and prevent all the sunbeds from being occupied in the morning, preventing others from finding a place.
Musical entertainment every evening.
Only note, perhaps the slightly dated bathrooms need to be renovated.
Definitely recommended
Super relax ....
It is already the second year that they have stayed in this hotel and it is always a guarantee.
The rooms were very clean, warm and the bed very comfortable
The restaurant service is excellent, always ready to fulfill every request, and very attentive and scrupulous for allergies.
We have a celiac child and she always had delicious dishes and even at breakfast she always found gluten-free biscuits, rusks and plum cakes on the table.
The waiters are all very good and very kind.
The pool water is always warm and well maintained.
The owner of the hotel is always very kind
Excellent price quality.
I really recommend it as a hotel.
During the booking phase, I had great availability to organize the therapies from the first day of arrival.
As soon as we arrived, the room was available and we checked in early.
Friendly staff, available to meet guests' needs.
The rooms are a little dated and we found the double bed with single mattresses uncomfortable.
The average age of the guests is quite high and the evening entertainment is tailor-made. We also had a New Year's Eve gala with Brazilian dancers and a dancing evening (yes, the older generations know how to have fun 😁).
Very good quality/price ratio.
